Some folks have been wondering what the hours of operation are around here. Well first off, it doesn’t matter what time we close once you are here. Despite the “closing time” we put our customers first. Our kitchen hours are Sunday through Thursday 5-9 (Don’t forget, we are closed Monday!) Friday and Saturday night we are open 5 till 10 pm. We always encourage a call ahead to avoid confusion and we can set a table aside for you!

We take beer seriously. We try new beer all the time to bring you the biggest, baddest brews out there. So, the current line-up is Switchback ale, a tasty little Vermont number that is only available from the tap! We also have a classic seasonal Sam Adams Octoberfest. Fall is in the air. We just added Chocolate Oatmeal Stout from Trout River. It’s quite tasty. Finally we have some Magic #9 a light fruity beverage for those who want a light easy drinking Vermont beer.

Most folks don’t know a whole lot about wine subtleties. To try something new means buying the bottle. A great way to try a new wine is to stop down to our wine bar. We have picked some of the best wines based upon value and taste. We don’t mind pouring off a partial glass to try something before you buy it. And if you find something you want to take home everything that we feature at The Blue Cat is available at the Village Store’s (Conveniently next door) Wine Room. We think you are going to love it here!

With all this talk about the shrinking dollar we feel it becomes increasingly important to spend your hard earned cash locally. The dollar that sticks around makes everyone a little more comfortable. Now for start we want you to come dine with us (Naturally!) In turn we are going to do our best to buy local products. We don’t need to tell you that Vermont has some pretty unique folks living here and they’ve been turning out some great products. We love getting suggestions for a cool new beer or a unique new product. Supporting the local economy has never been so tasty!

Lots of folks remark how relaxing it is here at the Blue Cat.

Lots of folks remark how relaxing it is here at the Blue Cat. While we don’t want to toot our own horn we like to point out that we have all the natural elements here! We use locally grown wood for the floor and bar. We have stone from a local quarry yard on our bar and bar back. We have candlelight for every table and we have the soothing trickle of water from the bar’s fountain. The ceiling is an accurate representation of a September sky and the transom window unifies our dining room ceiling with the real sky. Feng Shui might be a bunch of hooey but it seems to work here.

Pine Ridge ~ Chenin Blanc ~ Viognier Blend
A refreshing blend that has a hint of sweetness form the Chenin blanc yet the full-bodied peach/pear flavors from the Viognier. Delicious from start to finish.
